Grey's Astronomy Page

Welcome to my astronomy page. Here you'll find what I've been up to in sorld of amateur astronomy. I have been an amateur astronomer for over 20 years and have even worked as a professional astrophysicist for a while. Now that astronomy has returned to more of a hobby, I'm enjoying again - even more than before! I have a 10" Meade LX200 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope that is my workhorse. I also have an Optec SSP-3 photometer to measure the brightness of stars, and in August I will have an SBIG ST-7E CCD camera with color wheel. I'll be posting my pictures here once that gets here. I'm active in the AAVSO and have recently joined the Denver Astronomical Society. Here are a couple of pictures of my equipment to entertain you until my astronomical pictures show up.

I took my scope over to Spring Creek, north of Gunnison about half way to Taylor reservoir, about a month ago. Unfortunately, the skies were clear only the first night.
